HOLY SPIRIT
"BUILDERS" WORK FOR HABITAT
Our Holy Spirit Habitat for Humanity volunteers were up bright and early on Saturday, January 19, 2013, to meet and caravan to the jobsite on the Southwest side of San Antonio, where they would help build a new home for very thankful, deserving future homeowners This neighborhood in the Palo Alto area is being developed by the San Antonio area Habitat For Humanity Associates, now known as Hands Up Homes. We were a powerful group of 16 volunteers of varied ages and talents, who thought this was a great way to spend their Saturday, helping others in the community. There were tasks that required our skills with hammers, nails, saws, paint rollers, drills and roof shingles.
Our Holy Spirit Women's Group served up and delivered a total of 30 great sack lunches and energy drinks for all our volunteers and for other workers who also needed a lunch.
A great big "THANKS" to all you great volunteers. Jack Hadley (Habitat, Chair)
